Celebrate the Stanley Cup Final with the Best NHL Team Personal Checks

hi-ice-hockey-300x168Hockey fans the world over know that the Stanley Cup Finals are here. To celebrate and let everyone know which team you are rooting for, wouldn’t it be great if you had NHL Team Personal Checks from The Bradford Exchange Checks. Every time you write a check that has your team’s logo on it, you’ll be pulling for your favorite players.

Stanley Cup 2014

The Stanley Cup is the championship trophy awarded annually to the National Hockey League playoff winner at the end of the Stanley Cup Final. The cup itself was commissioned in 1892 (then called the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup) to be awarded to Canada’s top-ranking amateur ice hockey team. It wasn’t until 1915 that the Stanley Cup, named after Lord Stanley of Preston, became the trophy for professional hockey.

The original Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup, or rather the bowl of it, is permanently on display at the Hockey Hall of Fame. The current cup, a replica of the original, is made up of a bowl, pedestal, and five-band base. The original cup used to grow each year as a new band was added to the bottom, making the cup large and unwieldy. With the new cup, the oldest band is removed when a sixth would need to be added. The old band is placed in the Hall of Fame and thus the cup remains at a height of five bands.

New York RangersThe Montreal Canadians have won the cup a record 24 times. This year, the Canadians were knocked out of Game 6 advancing the New York Rangers (Eastern Conference Champions) to meet the Los Angeles Kings (Western Conference Champions) to compete for the honor of having their names engraved on the newest band of the Stanley Cup. Fans will have to wait until June 4th to see which team takes possession of the cup from last year’s winning team, the Chicago Blackhawks. The Los Angeles Kings won the cup in 2012 while the Rangers last win was in 1994.

Ten Outstanding Designs

Whether you’re a Minnesota Wild fan, a Philadelphia Flyers fan, or a fan of any of the other teams that made the playoffs, The Bradford Exchange has you covered with a personal check representing your team. Each set of team checks contains four designs in total. You will see the team’s logo on a puck or it will be surrounded by one of three silhouettes (a goalie catching a puck, two players facing off, or a skating player). All checks contain team colors as either a border around the check or as a background.

Original SixIf you want to go all out and represent all six teams originally in the playoffs, then opt for the “Original Six” pack. These checks show the logos of all six teams originally in the playoffs, with each logo surrounding an insignia indicating that teams are the “Original Six.” Several different photo realistic images of game action adorn the backgrounds. These checks are nice if you love the playoffs, but aren’t rooting for any team in particular.

Showing Your Loyalty

If you want to get your checks in time to use before the Stanly Cup Final is over, then you need to act now. You can use them anywhere you go, but wouldn’t it be cool to use your NHL Teams Personal Checks at a playoff game? You’d be a hit for sure.
